Justice and dignity too expensive for BC NDP

Autism designations in BC schools rose 192% between 2015 and 2024; enrolment rose 11.6%. The province has the data and has spent five years consulting instead of funding. A 2018 panel recommended prevalence-based funding; nothing changed. Meanwhile the Classroom Enhancement Fund receives $800M automatically each year — proof the province funds what it wants to fund. Families wait years for Sunny Hill or pay $4,000 privately; designations, once won, guarantee nothing because money enters a district pool rather than following the child. The system runs on parental exhaustion as access control.
